Kelly's Help to Save Godalming Bonfire!

After hearing the Mayor of Godalming's plea on Eagle Radio this morning, heroic Kelly's driver Gil (Andrew Gilroy) jumped into action to help save the Godalming Bonfire.

After the pre prepared bonfire was devastatingly burnt down over the weekend, the Mayor of Godalming launched an appeal for donations of wood and pallets to help rebuild the bonfire. After gathering all the broken pallets and spare pieces of wood in the yard, he enlisted the help of Office Administrator, Laura. Laura was especially keen to help - as herself and a few other members of staff from Kelly's were excited to spend their Saturday night together, enjoying a meal and watching the Godalming bonfire!

She quickly contacted the Mayor on his facebook page and was delighted to receive a call from the Mayoress, accepting the offer to deliver and supply of all of Kelly's spare pallets and wood in the warehouse on Saturday morning - just in time!

Earlier this afternoon, Eagle Radio contacted Laura for a chat. She told them; "We have about 50 pallets and old wooden containers which would be perfect to recycle for the bonfire. We can easily use Kelly's pods to bring them to the site on Saturday morning, ready for the bonfire on Saturday night!". Listen out for Laura on the news bulletins throughout the day!

We are delighted to help and, if you can too - they need volunteers and donations so please contact the Mayor on his facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/MayorofGodalming
